Certain ones are fairly common in the UK. Most are scarce but there is not a large interest in them compared to other British token series. They do offer their own unique social histories.
My grandfather was a Birtley Belgian. He met my grandmother who worked in the munition factory office. Once married they lived in Elizabethville. What a fascinating site. I didn’t know about the tokens they used.
John F. Yarwood’s 2011 edition of… Military Tokens of the British Commonwealth is much updated and would be a better reference.
